Bitcoin DCA Backtest - Monthly Buys vs. Lump Sum Since 2013
Monthly Bitcoin buys vs. one lump sum - on 13+ years of real month-end closes, including every crash. The drawdown column is the honest part.

How to read it
The backtest buys a fixed USD amount at every month-end close from your start month to the end, applies your fee per buy, and compares the result with investing the same total as a lump sum at the start. Two numbers deserve more attention than ROI: the average cost (what monthly buying actually pays per BTC) and the worst drawdown of the position - the deepest peak-to-trough loss you would have had to sit through without selling. Size any bot risk against that number, not against the final return.
Data and assumptions
Past performance says nothing about future returns. Bitcoin is the deepest, most liquid market in the asset class - most altcoins and leveraged setups produce far worse drawdowns than the worst case shown here.
